Before the rework, it was a true lifesteal, now it's a heal based on a percentag of dmg dealt, not a direct lifesteal. at least from the wording of it. anyway, the leech seed contributes to the lifesteal quest, as someone posted before #3

I played against someone in a PVP warzone that seemed to have life steal or syphon as it was nearly impossible to get them below 10 or 20 % (don't remember the cut off point) before they were back over 50% health. They were playing as a sith that used a lot of lightning. That's all I remember.
