They’re both great and both pretty straightforward and simple amps but they don’t sound the same. The Smallbox has a throaty midrange sort of growl to it. One has a master volume, and is very loud. The other has no master volume, and is INSANELY loud even on low settings. The only way to get gain is to crank it up or use a pedal. If I could chose another amp right now it would be the Dirty Shirley, just a huge classic rock one channel monster of an amp.
