Regardless of what manufactuers list, Fireline is the thinnest and break between 6 and 7 lbs actual knot strength. Fireline Crystal 4lb is thinner than other Fireline 4lb but also weaker. Expect 4 lbs to have an actual breaking strength of 14 lbs, 6 lbs to have an ABS of 17 lbs and 8 lbs to have an ABS of 20 lbs. Power Pro will not fray with repeated casting. I started using Fireline when it first came out and like it alot and used it for casting off the piers and in the river.
